History of Our Club

Lydia Blasiar, Lindsey Rollin, Audrea Palmer, Sandy Lester, and Alisha Bell founded the Alpha Chapter of Gamma Kappa Omega on November 28, 2000. They wanted to create a different kind of organization because they were not satisfied with the selection on campus. They wanted to create an organization that would bring together a group of friends to help out the community and socialize together. They also wanted an organization that would not require an enormous amount of time as well.

Statement of Purpose

Gamma Kappa Omega is a service sorority consisting of students attending Stephen F. Austin State University.  We will provide voluntary services for various organizations around Nacogdoches as well as on campus.

Gamma Kappa Omega Creed

I vow to realize that in Gamma Kappa Omega the opportunity lies to grow and learn that which will enrich lives. I uphold to be positive, to be steadfast, and loyal. I promise to be true to myself and to all those in and out of this sisterhood. I will remember to give service to any in need and learn that there are gifts in caring and serving. I will look for the good in everyone and in myself. I will honor the values of Gamma Kappa Omega and represent my fellow sisters to the best of my ability.
